We are thrilled that you are considering a Chapin education for your child. Chapin accepts students for admission at all grade levels, from prekindergarten (age 4 by September 1st of the year of admission) to grade 8, as space allows.
We seek to enroll students who exhibit an eagerness for learning. Accordingly, our admission process concentrates on examining each child's potential to contribute to and benefit from participating in the Chapin community.
Chapin School welcomes students who are curious, parents who value their child's education, and families that accept and support the school's Mission and Philosophy.
Where do you start?
Most families begin the admission process with a telephone call to schedule a campus visit, a tour and a conversation with our admission staff. We also schedule a number of Open Houses to allow families to experience Chapin first-hand.
As a next step, parents then submit an application accompanied by an application fee. Once a formal application has been made, we request school records and recommendations from the student's present school.
Limited financial aid is available and is distributed on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Admission decisions are not influenced by financial aid applications.
