Home February Update Visiting Chapin     Families interested in our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are invited to visit the school on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 2 - 3:30 pm. Did you know?     Fourth graders can participate on the Cross Country team, write for the Press Club, experience a Japanese Tea and present a Solar System Play where each student plays a part in the universe. Wow! Kindergarten students are preparing to don their party hats and bow ties to wear to High Tea this month.   Fairy Tale Friday takes place in Pre-K where students dress as characters and delight in telling their story guided by a story box they have made. What's Happening at Chapin     February is the month we all come together to serve. For over 20 years, Chapin students have been preparing and serving food at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen in Trenton. Every student is involved. From decorating 750 lunch bags to be filled with nutritious lunches to delivering homemade mac and cheese to be served on a Saturday, the entire community takes part. This is only one of many community service projects in which Chapin students participate.   It is also a great month for field trips. Pre-K is visiting a dentist, 1st grade goes to an aquarium, 4th grade goes to the State House and Old Barracks and 8th graders see "Romeo and Juliet." You're Invited to Our Curriculum Fair!     On Friday, Feb. 10, from 7 - 8:30 pm, please join us for Chapin's Curriculum Fair to see and hear the presentations of our 6th, 7th and 8th graders. This is a great way to interact with students as they talk about and display the hard work they did on research and experimentation.
