The Loaves & Fishes all-school community service project is a great way for the Chapin community to come together to share our time, pool our resources, and make a difference for so many individuals living right here in our own community.
Each year, the Chapin students and faculty make more than 750 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and put together complete bag lunches comprised of a juice box, applesauce, chips, cookies, and hot chocolate mix. The bags for the lunches are assembled in school. The sandwiches will be made at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Trenton on Saturday. The lunches are given to each guest to take home following a hot cooked meal that is prepared and served by the Chapin community at St. Mary’s on a Saturday in February.
