Based on a recent study done of over 50 Fundraising Auctions the following categories have proved to be the most desirable, and therefore the most profitable:

1. RESTAURANTS-

• ask for donation at your favorite or freq visited place
• connections with limo/car service to package for “a night on the town”?

2. SPORTS-

• Tickets, tickets, tickets!

3. TRIPS/VACATIONS-

• vacation homes
• donate air miles, hotel rooms

4. WINE, etc-

• Wine, champagne
• Liquor – good bottle of scotch, port, etc. (w/ set of glasses? Shaker? Mixers?)
• Beer? Sample of microbrews?

5. MEN’S TOYS-

• Cigars, accessories
• Electronics – flat screen tv?, ipod? Laptop? Accessories….
• Golf – lessons, round,
• Golf –set of Drivers or Wedges (sand-, lob-), balls, accessories…
• Car detailing
• Sports memorabilia (can be “hit or miss”, maybe get item on consignment?)

6. SPA/FITNESS-

• Health club memberships
• Beyond the “basic manicure gift certificate”-- facial, massage, mani/pedi, etc
  

7. LOCAL TRIPS/ EXPERIENCES-

• Day or season pass to museum, zoo, Hershey Park , Great Adventure, Sesame Place, etc
• “Behind the Scenes” --tour/sampling/instruction at a Restaurant, Bakery, Winery, Sushi shop…
• “Backstage” –w/ tickets to Theater?, Trenton Thunder?, etc
• Tickets to Circus, Ice Capades, Theater, Concert…
