What happens on the first day of school?
School opens at 7:30 a.m. and classes begin at 8 a.m. The first day is a full day starting with an All-School Meeting with the Headmaster.
Tuesday, September 4 – Friday, September 7 will be half-days for our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten children. They will have a noon dismissal and there is no After School Program available on those days.
Where do I drop off my child?
Pre-K and Kindergarten students go directly to the Wilby Primary Building where there is a teacher on duty. Parents should park in the main lot to walk their children to the entrance.
Lower School children enter the building through the entrance near the statue. On a normal day, Mr. Johnson will be there at 7:45 a.m. with a hearty handshake welcome. Upon entering they go directly to the Thomas Auditorium for supervision.
Upper School students enter through the double red doors into the Zinsser Lobby and wait with their grade level until dismissal to their classrooms at 7:55 a.m. There is a supervisor on duty.
Where do I pick up my child?
Students are dismissed from the red doors at Martin Plaza. Parents wait in their cars for children to come to them. Dismissal teachers will direct children to the waiting cars. Please be patient and drive carefully. If you need to get out of your car for any reason, please park in the Main Lot. Do not leave your car in the dismissal line.
Who do I call with questions?
Before calling, please check the website first. Most information can be found there. If you cannot find what you are looking for, contact the Front Office at 609-924-2449.
How do I sign up for the Honeywell Instant Alert System?
Parents' home phone and primary e-mail are automatically entered into the system in the summer. Parents are asked to log in and register to add additional contact devices and adjust alerts for specific categories. Go to
https://instantalert.honeywell.com/ and follow instructions. Remember to click on the Alerts tab for custom settings.
How do I order gym uniforms?
Gym uniforms are required for Pre-K through grade 4 only. Uniforms are ordered through the school store operated by the Parents' Association. They are typically ordered during the summer and ready for pick up on the first day of school. Contact the store manager,
Karen Bennett, with questions.
If my child forgets something, may I drop it off to be delivered to them?
Parents are asked to NOT bring lunches, homework and sports equipment, etc. to the school during the day. Articles will not be delivered to students. Careful preparation and responsibility are highly regarded and parents can help to instill these qualities by promoting self-reliance.
