CHILDREN'S VOICE CLASS (NEW CLUB!)
Led by Ms. Susan Gaylord
Grades 2 - 4
Minimum 4 students
Thursdays January 18th - February 22nd
 3:30 - 4:15

This positive and lively class is for the beginner solo singer. Through the study of several age-appropriate songs from Classical to Musical Theater solo repertoire, the young musician will be introduced to the skill set of a successful soloist.  The class will receive expert instruction in proper breathing, pitch, tone production, diction and sight singing.  The small group setting allows time for gentle, individual attention that will foster expertise and confidence in each singer.  A portion of the class will incorporate active and creative musical games that reinforce the basics of music theory as well as beginning stage movement, text interpretation and character development.
By week three, each student will be encouraged to sing at least a portion of the class songs as a solo.  This process will continue in subsequent classes and an informal performance for family and friends will be presented at the end of the final class.

ELEMENTARY DRAWING (NEW CLUB!)
Led by Young Rembrandts
Grades K - 6
Minimum 5 students
Tuesday January 9th - February 13th
3:30 - 4:30

You can be taught to draw successfully even if you have never done it before!  Students will be taught drawing, the fundamental skill of visual arts, with a see-touch-do method at which all students can succeed.
Artists will draw and color many wonderful pictures.  A colorful pop art dog and a powerful unicorn are just a couple of the drawings they will learn and LOVE.  Incredible relevant art history, good color selection and proper technique will be emphasized. Students will build on their skills but also have a ton of fun while drawing and personalizing cool things like a soccer player, pineapple and a robot.
