Education Beyond our Doors

Chapin School's renowned academic program is not contained by the walls of the traditional classroom. Quiz Bowl. Robotics. Trips to the Lehigh River and New York City. Chapin students are always learning while having fun. These experiential learning experiences enrich their Chapin journey by showing them real-life applications of theories that they are learning at school.

Discovery Program Grades 5-8

Our Discovery Program provides students in Grades 5-8 with opportunities to expand their learning outside of the normal, rigorous Chapin curriculum and explore new modes of educational experience. The Discovery classes are created and taught by teachers who are pursuing their own passion and expertise on a subject not covered in their subject area. Some of the classes run all year, some are trimester long, and new ones are added as the year progresses.
