Welcome to Chapin!
We are thrilled that you are considering Chapin School Princeton. Chapin welcomes students who are curious, engaged learners whose families value our belief that lifelong habits of mind and heart are formed in the elementary and middle school years. Our efforts and resources are dedicated to early childhood, elementary, and middle school learning experiences that are the foundation of future success. We believe this focused approach creates advantages: leadership opportunities in developmentally appropriate ways, confidence to take academic risks, and a deep appreciation for community.
We enroll students, from age three to grade eight who exhibit an eagerness for learning. We believe in an admission process that emphasizes each child's potential to contribute and benefit from the Chapin community. I encourage you to take time to learn more about Chapin's five virtues, small classes, dedicated faculty, and inquiry-based learning through STEAM.
Please call the Admission Office at 609-986-1702 with any questions, and we look forward to meeting you soon.

Chapin School Princeton’s Character Education Program
A school exists to teach reading, writing, math, science, history -- just the big subjects, right? What kids need for high school and college. Right? Yes, of course, we do all of that. Every elementary school does. Every middle school does. We are a private school with both, so we have an even greater opportunity. It is our mission and our passion to teach all of these in rigorous and innovative ways.

Community at Chapin School Princeton
The best private schools are much more than just academics. Chapin School Princeton's community is best described as a neighborhood where everyone looks after each other. It is here where bonds of friendship between children, adults, and families extend across cultures and social boundaries in creating a warm and caring environment rarely found in today's society.
We come together often for school events, like the PA Back-to-School Family Barbeque and Ice Cream Bingo, dress up for Halloween and dinner auctions, and cheer our young athletes to victory. We care deeply about the world around us, making lunches for the Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen and reaching out to help when world and local disasters occur.
We care about how we treat each other and work hard to instill in our students our five virtues of respect, responsibility, honesty, kindness, and perseverance. While the depth of our academic program is at our core, at the heart of the Chapin experience are our relationships.
Chapin is dedicated to the belief that lifelong habits of the mind and heart are formed in the elementary and middle school years. Chapin provides a richly textured education that inspires academic achievement and builds strength of character. Within a diverse, caring, and supportive community, we prepare our students to meet their future with skill, confidence, determination, and generosity of spirit.
