Chapin School Princeton’s Fall 2020 Return To Campus Plan
Dear Chapin Families,
With the start of the school year on the horizon, it is time to share our current plans with you for the fall. During these uncertain times, we know circumstances can change quickly, and I believe Chapin is positioned well to adapt and adjust, always putting the health and safety of our community first.
The administration, faculty, and staff have worked tirelessly to finalize the plans to be on campus with all the necessary precautions while enhancing our already robust online/distance learning program for those students who are off-campus. Chapin's mission and philosophy, along with our five virtues of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Kindness, and Perseverance, remains our north star and guided us through the process.
The protocols and procedures implemented in our plan are based on the current recommendations from the New Jersey Department of Health, our local health departments, and Chapin's school physician.
On Monday, August 10, at 7:00 p.m., we would like to have a Zoom community meeting to answer questions and explain our process in more detail. I will send the Zoom link out next Sunday with an agenda. The links included in today's letter can be accessed through the Chapin website.
As Chapin begins the next chapter in the story of COVID-19, I reflect on the accomplishments we made last year together, as a community. One lesson I learned is that, as the Chapin community, we stand next to one another shoulder-to-shoulder, so when presented with a challenge where we might lean a bit, we never weaken because our greatest strength is the support we give of one another. It's who we are.
I will forever be grateful and blessed to be a part of the Chapin community and thank you for your support.
