Runathon

Chapin's 46th Annual Runathon is in the books, and it was a success on many levels! Runathon began as a 24-hour event and over its many years has changed to make it be the best school-wide community event possible. The 2022 Runathon took place from April 22 to 24.

Your Support Matters
Each year, Runathon raises money to support the Chapin FundLoaves and Fishes, as well as a charity selected by students. This year students chose Alliance For A Living Ocean

Also returning this year: The Goal of getting Head of School Barbara Pasteris to sleep on the school's roof! We needed 100 gifts of $50 or more – to make it happen and we did it! We raced (pun intended) past that number with well over a hundred donations totaling over $9,000.

Runathon started during the day on Friday, April 22, with the entire student body walking the course before taking part in an Earth Day activity. The students were then joined by parents to continue the Runathon, before pausing to have a dinner provided by the Parents’ Association. It was a great day!

Other Got Involved
Alumni, alumni parents, and other friends of Chapin were encouraged to participate by sending pictures and videos of their exercise activities from April 22 to 24. We’d be happy to see more samples from everyone: send them to development@chapinschool.org.

Runathon 2022 was a huge success thanks to you - our Chapin community!
