Hello All
I would like to just bring you up to speed on what is going on in the kitchen here at Chapin School in regards to the menu.  I have recently expanded the selections at the grab and go area simply because children want options and we are working very hard to give that to them.  If you take a look at the top right section of the menu you will see I have added food selections for the week for the Grab and Go area.   Quite a few of the kids have voiced that they like the fact that they never know what will be offered daily in this area, but in order to make it more efficient and to make the offerings available to all grades I had to streamline this area and run it for the full week.  You will notice the "mystery selection" I have added. This is something we will create on a daily basis.

BAKED GOODS: The Baked Goods served on campus are all “nut-free,” but they are prepared in a facility where products containing nuts are made. These facilities are wet washed to reduce cross contamination. So please keep in mind that some of the dust from flours or products can become airborne.
DAILY MENU SELECTIONS: The selections on the daily menu do not contain nuts. However, please keep in mind some of the products we buy can be manufactured in a facility where nuts are used. Some of the items on the menu do contain dairy. If you have any questions or concerns in regards to the selections or have suggestions, please feel free to contact Chef G at 

Payment Options

Registration for the 2nd half of the year is now open.
All registrations will be through TADS allowing the option to pay the amount due in one, two, or three installments.  Once registered, an invoice will be generated within 5-7 business days.

Please follow this process to register for the Lunch Program.
Click on the TADS link to the right under Items of Interest
Log into your TADS account
Select the "Enrollment" tab
Select the enrollment number in blue for your child's 17-18 enrollment contract
Select "Click here to edit student's enrollment information"
Select "Supplemental" in the blue bar 
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the green Edit button
You will now see selections regarding the lunch plans and payment options.  (This is all part of the initial enrollment contract.  You don't need to respond to enrollment questions again). Once you make a lunch plan and payment selection, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
TADS will now be ready to prepare the invoice for the charges which you will receive within 5-7 business days.

Payment is by credit card (American Express, Master Card, Discover or Visa) or by ACH debit from a checking or savings account.
If you pay by credit card, there is an additional 3% convenience fee assessed by the credit card company, which is not retained by Chapin School. ACH transactions via TADS are free of charge.
If you are not participating in the full or half-year program, the link allows you to place funds on your child's account to have a credit balance and allows you to monitor your child's purchases.  You may place funds on the account via the website or by sending a check payable to Chapin School to the Business Office.
If you are participating in the full or half year program, we encourage you to create an account on to monitor your child's lunch and snack purchases.

Lunch Program

For the 2018-2019 school year, lunch for every student is included in the tuition cost. Only additional purchases, outside of the lunch offering, will be invoiced separately. 
2017-2018 Lunch program:
In September 2016, Chapin brought the lunch program in-house.  We are fortunate to retain Chef G and the current cafeteria staff of Miss Katie and Miss Berna, who are now Chapin employees.  In Feb 2017, Miss Anita was added to our cafeteria staff.  We are excited at the prospect this new venture brings, allowing Chef G the freedom to expand and create new elements of the school lunch program.
Each day students will be offered a number of choices that include a hot entrée, sandwiches and salad bar. Students may return for seconds at no additional charge. Any daily lunch received after the 2nd serving will be billed at $2.00. Additional snacks, which are not part of the lunch, will be available for sale on an à la carte basis. Students may sign up for the full-year or half-year lunch program. These plans include milk.
Students who are not registered for either the half or full year plan may still purchase lunch on a daily basis and will be billed monthly by the Business Office. Children should bring money if they wish to buy snacks. We ask that parents please try and send their children with small bills for snack purchases. Students may also bring lunches from home, with the understanding that there is no refrigeration available.  A microwave is available for use during the Upper School lunch periods.
If a student is registered for the half or full year plan and subsequently withdraws during the school year, there is no pro ration of the fee paid and no refund will be given.
By registering for the full or half year lunch plan, your child will automatically receive a bag lunch for all field trips.
Full Year Lunch Plan (includes milk)
Explorers:     $640.00 
K - 8th:        $825.00
Half Year Lunch Plan (includes milk)
Explorers:    $335.00
K - 8th:     $440.00
The first half year plan will allow your child to receive lunch every day available from 09/05/17 - 01/12/18.  
The second half year plan will allow your child to receive lunch every day available from 01/15/18 - 06/05/18.
Students who wish to have additional items not included with lunch will be invoiced on an a la carte basis.
Daily Lunch Costs:
Lunch can be purchased on a daily basis and parents will be billed monthly. No registration is necessary. Your child does not automatically receive a lunch on field trip days under this option.  However, if you wish for your child to have a bag lunch for a field trip, please notify the teacher one day in advance, a lunch will be provided and you will be invoiced accordingly.
Explorers: $4.15/day
K – 8th: $5.50/day
Single milk purchase: $.55
