Upper Elementary Science Teacher

Chapin School, a coeducational, three-year-old through eighth grade independent school located in Princeton, NJ, seeks a full-time Upper Elementary Science Teacher to join our STEAM team. In addition to teaching third, fourth, and fifth grade science classes in our specialized science lab, our science teacher collaborates with our Technology Integration Specialist to create inquiry-based, experiential learning activities that fully engage our students in the collaborative learning process. The science teacher also leads Chapin School’s participation in the Science Olympiad and has other supervisory duties.

Candidates should be:

·         nurturing of the natural curiosity of young learners

·         collaborative and flexible with colleagues and students

·         able to balance rigorous academic expectations with developmentally-appropriate teaching practices

Lacrosse Coach

We are seeking an experienced coach for our Boys Lacrosse team. Coaching season runs from the end of March until the middle of May. Practices are held Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:10 p.m. – 5 p.m. plus games. Candidate should be committed to Chapin’s mission and philosophy.  In addition, he/she should have experience playing/coaching lacrosse, experience working with middle school aged children, ability to lead and take direction, be an effective communicator, be highly organized, reliable, energetic, and able to use email effectively. Substitute Teachers

Chapin School is looking for substitute teachers. In the absence of full time classroom teacher, substitute teachers provide instruction using existing lesson plans, encourage student progress, and manage the classroom learning environment.  Interested candidates should have an earned college degree. Experience in the classroom is preferred.  

Substitute Nurse

Substitute nurse needed per diem. RN or LPN licensed in New Jersey required. CPR/AED certification should be up to date .Call 609-924-4839 if you have questions or are interested/

Part-Time Help

 $14.50 per hour

Holidays and weekends free!

Chapin School Princeton is looking for part time help for the 2018-2019 school year in the After School Program Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm. End time hours are flexible depending on pick up of last student.

From 4:00pm – 6:00 pm, main responsibilities will include front desk reception of parents and guests, signing out students, answering phones and monitoring students in the Homework Club.

Additionally, you will assist from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm by helping with snack time, dismissing students to assigned areas, monitoring playground time and any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Finance.

Must be familiar with Google Docs or Excel.  Previous experience working with children is preferred.  Must be able to provide own transportation. 

If your schedule fits these hours through December but you are unsure beyond December, don’t pass up the opportunity to apply. We are open to working out a mutual arrangement.

Part Time Help Wanted $10.50 - $11.00 per hour

Holidays and weekends free!

Local independent school seeking part time help for cafeteria staff. Potential for immediate start and then continuing for 2018-2019 school year.  Hours are 8:30 am – 2:00 pm on all days school lunch is served.   Main responsibilities include assistance with food prep and lunch service, restocking milk and salad bar areas, clean up after each meal service and other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.  Must enjoy working with young children. Training will be provided.

Cooking experience is a plus!
